Kota San, this new mute is wonderful - I’m loving it!
I've been playing these mutes for 20 years. This new brass mute has much better clarity down in the low register without sacrificing any of the warm tone.
These truly are the finest harmon-style mutes in the world - a rare combination where they sound exceptional and breathy on mic, yet can also blend well in a section. I recently lost my old copper mute - and thought I'd try to replace it with something different. The brass version has all of the depth and color that I loved from before, with just a bit of brilliance added to the warmth.
